Last month, Leapfrog, the leading maker of popular educational toys for children, has introduced its new selection is called the Crammer. This system of education combined with MP3 player is designed for third to eighth grade market and must student progress more fun.
Crammer Study and Sound System offers the possibility to download more than 16,000 tests practice test issues in 1000. These competitions are based on books that the real questions are a tool in many studies. The tests cover mathematics, social sciences, science and language arts. Besides the contest, you can also create digital maps for the same subjects. In addition, the Crammer comes with a translator Spanish and two preloaded games. The device can connect to the Internet to create a learning path for parents to monitor progress of a child.
The Crammer handheld can also be used as an MP3 player with 1 GB of storage (approximately 10 hours of music) and a kit Headset Jack. Download songs from any computer with a USB port. The device is compatible with Windows and Mac MSRP is $ 59.99.
Other accessories Crammer including one case ($ 9.99 MSRP) and a skin and put Customizer screen protector (MSRP $ 12.99).
We have spent almost a month to try Crammer with several children who were generally satisfied with the device. Children found to be easy to use. Questionnaires and flash cards are fun and challenging. The design is attractive and seem to take well to whom fell the occasion. The navigation screen is easy to move using the rocker-screen before the style (not a touchscreen device as it seems). The sound quality is decent and the MP3 player is fairly easy to download songs.
The disadvantages of the device are the limited number of games and the fact that children never tire of doing just the same questionnaires. In addition, Crammer not our first without removing the batteries. After exchanging the unit, found the same problem again. Customer recommends rubbing an eraser on the contacts on the battery and the unit began to function properly.
In general, the educational system Crammer offers a fun way that would be a nice Christmas gift for children aged 8 to 12.
