Leapfrog Leappad Books
If your child is having difficulty reading below, may be a visual learner and could respond to books with more pictures than text.
There is no doubt that children learn in their own time. Some children can read fluently at the age of seven years, while others May struggle with the basic text for some time until something "clicks".
The best way to encourage your child to enjoy books without support necessary to read books that are visually replacement or have an interactive element. Here are some examples:
Comics
Comics past through a phase back in the 1950s, which were considered the scourge of child delinquency. Opinions have changed and in fact have comics. There are some wonderful comics and Graphic Novels can encourage children to be interested in reading without forcing them to read the words, to understand the gist of the story.
In telling the story in sequential images, the reader can understand the basic flow of the story action, facial expressions and other visual cues. For the beginner, or see the drives with new titles such as bone or Jeff Smith The Dreamland Chronicles by Scott Christian Sava. Both are wonderful tales of fantasy with attractive graphics.
Interactive books
LeapFrog has been in the game of interactive books for a number of years. His system was very successful and his last LeapPad system structure interactive toy, the tag reader, recently won the year 2009.
Operated by a rechargeable pen drive "system interacts with words and pictures in books specially designed not only to reading words, but also to promote understanding through games. The books are available for younger readers, but also for those who have come late to reading and may be in franchises like Ben 10 or Star Wars.
The Both styles are excellent books to help your reluctant readers develop a love of books even before they are pleasant to read.
