wind generators ... How long it takes to load a deep cycle battery?
These days everything is so expensive, and light gas bills through the roof, so they live in an area of wind and DIY I am about to buy a wind turbine to power some of my control, I have 2 power inverters, it is 1200W. continuous and 2500 peak, the other is a 2500W. continuous, 5 kW peak, so I'm not short inverters, but I do not know how long it takes to load a generator 400 watts of wind power for my bank of deep cycle battery, I 8 / 12 volts in parallel, so my question is how long the turbine 400 watts to charge my 8 / 12VDC battery to be charged, if the output Generator is 400 Watts continuous? ... thank you for any feedback
You do not mention the possibility for battery ampere-hour. In Assuming that 100 AH batteries require an effective charge of 800 ampere-hours at 12 volts or 9600 watt-hours. Even if the load was 100% effective, it would take 24 hours to charge the batteries.
